The response should provide a specific example of how both groups were affected by the Atlantic trade, such as the forced migration and enslavement of Africans and the displacement and decimation of American Indian populations due to European colonization and trade. (b) To earn the point, the response must describe a significant historical difference between the impact of trade exchanges in the Atlantic economy on Africans and American Indians. The response should provide a specific example of how the experiences of these two groups differed, such as the fact that Africans were primarily brought to the Americas as enslaved laborers, while American Indians were often pushed off their lands and subjected to violence and disease as a result of European colonization and trade. (c) To earn the point, the response must explain a specific historical effect of the Atlantic economy on the British colonies in North America.
